You should not store an estate plan in a safe deposit box

Additionally, some home safes are not truly fireproof. However, a fireproof bag/briefcase (like the one Attorney Derek Graham is holding here) is a great place to safely store your estate planning portfolio.
When the owner of a safe deposit box passes away, it can sometimes prove challenging for another individual to gain access to the box.
Several items may need to be gathered, including a certified copy of the death certificate, which can sometimes take several weeks to obtain.
Our estate planning portfolios contain information that may be necessary to retrieve during one's lifetime (if incapacitated) and at death. It's generally not preferred to have these important documents locked away and not easily accessible.
You can find these fireproof document bags on Amazon.
