Melissa A. Feldman
For over 20 years, I have represented businesses and individuals in a wide range of business matters, including contract negotiations and disputes, commercial debt collection, employment issues, construction disputes, landlord/ tenant matters, and business transactions.
In the employment area, I help employers and employees navigate the employment relationship, helping clients achieve their goals in connection with non-compete
agreements, separation agreements, claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. I counsel small businesses regarding human resources issues such as hiring, firing, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and overtime issues, and disciplining employees. In the debt collection area, I represent financial institutions and creditors to help them recover commercial debts.
As “Of Counsel” to Resch, Root, Philipps & Graham, I am developing my skills in new practice areas, including guardianship and alternatives to guardianship, special needs planning, business planning and succession, and estate planning. I am also using my litigation skills to assist clients with probate and fiduciary litigation.
I am a court-appointed volunteer mediator for the United States District Court in the Southern District of Ohio where I have enjoyed helping parties reach mediated settlements in various types of lawsuits.
When I am not practicing law, my focus is on my two sons. Watching them grow into caring and thoughtful young men is my greatest joy.
